Born November 28, 1962 in Yerevan.

1985 - Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of YSU. Philologist.

1996 - Graduated from the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations of the American University of Armenia, Master of Political Science.

2002 - Graduated from the Tbilisi School of Political Studies of the European Council.

Candidate of Philology.

1986 -1987 - Teacher of the general school in the village of Ashnak in Aragatsotn province.

1986 -1991 - Director of the Propaganda Department of the Yerevan City Committee of the All- Union Leninist Young Communist League.

1991-1999 - Executive Director of the Armenian National Educational and Cultural Union.

1999 - 2005 - Executive Director of the Center for Comparison and Support of the International Programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

1999 - 2016 - Chairman of the “Armenian National Educational and Cultural Union” Foundation.

Since 2011 - Lecturer at the Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.

Since 1990 - Member of the ARF.

2006 - 2007, 2014 - 2016 and 2019 - 2021 - Member of the ARF Supreme Body of Armenia.

Since 2002 - Member of the Writers' Union of Armenia.

Since 2014 - Member of the Union of Journalists of Armenia.

2007 - 2011 - Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Library of the Republic of Armenia.

2008 - 2011 - Member of the Urban Development Council of the Republic of Armenia.

2009 - 20011 - Member of the Board of Trustees of the “One People - One Culture” Foundation.

2010 - 2012 - Member of the Management Council of the Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.

2011 - Founded the “Help your Brother” Syrian Armenians’ support Fund.

2017 - 2018 - Member of the Council, Co-Chair of the International Organization of Women of Kuwait.

2007 - 2012 - Member of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, ARF).

Member of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly.

2011- 2012 - Member of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly of the EU Eastern Partnership. Member of the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation” faction.

June 20, 2021 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the “Armenia” alliance of parties.

Author of translations of three collections:

1999 - “12 short stories and a play” twentieth century American Prose Collection.

2000 - “Armenian mouse” by V. Saroyan.

2003 - “twentieth century Prose in English.”
